I got pregnant while using a copper IUD. It wasn't out of place or anything, just an extremely rare occurence. The best choice for me was to terminate the pregnancy. I got a surgical abortion when I was around 6 weeks pregnant. It's been about 4 days since I had the procedure. The early pregnancy symptoms were really hard on me and I feel the stress from the whole ordeal messed with my hormones quite a bit and my gut is acting up. I don't have celiac, yet I don't eat wheat. Also, a tiny cyst was found on one of my ovaries, which the doctor said would go away on its own as it's quite common in early pregnancy. Since I don't trust most conventional doctors for nutrition advice, I was wondering if anyone had any insight about what would be the best way to support my healing (both hormonal and physical) with nutrition? I usually have very regular periods and minimal cramping- even with the IUD- and never had any fertility problems (or cysts). I've been reading this site for a while and it's been extremely helpful, but I'm wondering if there are certain nutrients/foods/supplements that would be particularly helpful in this situation. Any help is appreciated.
