Hi there!! I was wondering if any other parents have seen an improvement in their kids behavior since going primal? I do see it at home, but his teacher does not!!?? I am considering not letting him eat school lunches anymore!? I think they just serve crap anyway!! And he always loves the primal lunches I pack him!!! I am just looking for any advice about primal and ADHD , thanks!!

Hi! This is quite a late reply, and maybe things have changed, but I still wanted to offer my perspective. As a teacher in a middle school (public school) I see the direct and indirect results of poor nutrition. I'm known to go off on raging rants about school food. The garbage that the government food programs give to our children is appalling to say the least, and I CRINGE when I see what those kids have piled on their trays at lunch. It's depressing indeed. I am all for parents and children packing lunches at home and bringing them to school. If you're noticing a difference in behavior at home, but that change is not transferring to school ( and he is eating school lunch) I would say school lunch could absolutely be the cultprit. The social environment at school is also quite different than at home. Certainly, social influences could account for some of the behavioral patterns, but I'd say school lunch is certainly a contributor.

I often dream about how to get better nutrition into public schools. Many kids in my school come from poor families and eat breakfast AND lunch at school, and are lucky to get anything at home for dinner. It disgusts me and angers me when I see what they are being fed at school. I firmly believe that so many behavioral and academic problems could be eliminated or alleviated if we just fed these kids what they really need. What a battle.
