Fitness Help!

Hi all!


Okay, so I need some serious help getting some movement into my life. I have a 1 1/2 year old that I am with 24/7 and am currently 13 weeks pregnant with #2! I find that I cannot seem to get in any activity! HELP! I feel like crap when I don't exercise. It is simply too hot here at the moment to take walks during the day… :( Am I a lost cause? I was thinking of buying some pre-natal yoga dvd's and maybe my daughter will join in? But is this enough to stay healthy!?

We also joined a local at home dads group that would meet up at various playgrounds in the area – forced us to get out at the least – maybe there's similar in your area?


Morning or late evening walks with a jogging stroller also helped and in the winter I'd hit the mall and make a few laps speed walking.

If it's too hot to comfortably spend time outside, what about indoor play centres, child-friendly museums or art galleries, wildlife centres or aquariums, water parks or swimming pools, ice rinks…


Also check online, in the UK we have sites like http://www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk where you can search by area, age, indoor or outdoor, and it brings up a list of all suitable places.


For something simple, just play in the house; put on the music channel and dance around, find the baby yoga videos you mentioned, do lunges and squats etc on the living room floor..

Great ideas!! There really isn't that much here at all in the way of baby friendly places to go… maybe none. But we do dance around at home and I am getting the DVD's… We also go to play groups and such and soon mommy and me exercise class! YAY!!!
